Christian Bernard Singer: EXILE Quarterly 42.2 – “From Scattered to Contained”

Christian Bernard Singer: “From Scattered to Contained” – Working with pine needles, individually glued and painted, these sculptures capture the sudden and fleeting dances of the Forest Spirits. (page 81)

Christian Bernard Singer of Georgian Bluffs (Big Bay), Ontario, was born into a family of artists in Paris, France, and raised in New York City where he began as a company dancer with Laura Foreman’s Composers and Choreographers Theater. Singer has lived his life within the arts, feathering out from dancing into the visual arts where his list of accomplishments range wide. The intrinsic connection between the physical plane and the more ethereal worlds of concept and spirit, so evident in dance, have remained the core of his expression. christianbernardsinger.com
